Terms of Service

Last updated: June 4, 2026. Please review our service usage terms and customer policies.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating a DocBox account, connecting your Google credentials, or utilizing our document collection and organization workspaces, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service.

If you are signing up on behalf of an enterprise or organization, you represent that you possess the authority to bind that entity to these conditions. If you do not accept these terms, you must not use our software.

2. Service Description

DocBox provides client-facing forms, file upload routes, metadata structures, and a Windows-style tree-folder layout overlay that connects securely to your Google Drive account.

We do not supply cloud storage space ourselves. Your storage capacity, bandwidth metrics, file size caps, and uptime rely strictly on your individual Google Drive/Google Workspace subscription plan.

3. Account Security & Google Auth

To access full functionality, you must sign in using your Google account:

  • OAuth Security: We use official Google APIs. We do not view, collect, or store your actual Google account password.
  • Account Responsibilities: You are responsible for preserving credentials, setting multi-factor authentication, and regulating user accesses granted to sub-members inside your team workspace.

4. Billing, Pricing & Upgrades

If you select a paid tier (Starter, Professional, or Enterprise):

  • Subscription Invoices: Fees are charged on a recurring monthly or annual basis, starting from the day your trial transitions or paid subscription begins.
  • Payment Processors: Transactions are handled through verified payment gateways. Subscription renewals occur automatically until cancelled.
  • Refund Eligibility: Refund requests are governed strictly by our dedicated Refund Policy.

5. Prohibited Activities

You represent and warrant that you will not use DocBox to:

  • Submit, request, or upload virus files, malware, or illegal documents.
  • Infringe on third-party copyrights, trademark permissions, or data rights.
  • Attempt to bypass OAuth authentications or hack indexed metadata.
  • Exploit smart collection forms to spam or harass respondents.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY GOVERNING LAW, DOCBOX IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, REPRESENTATIONS, AND LIABILITIES.

Because your files remain stored on Google's infrastructure, DocBox is not liable for data loss, service outages, drive folder deletions, file corruptions, or data leaks originating from Google Cloud API interruptions.

7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any litigation, arbitration, or disputes arising from this contract will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
